Ontario Retailers: Get Up to $5,000 Toward Your POS Upgrade
The Ontario Retail Modernization Project Grant can provide eligible retailers with up to $5,000 in non-repayable funding toward new digital technology, including modern POS systems, inventory management and customer-management technology.
What The Grant Can Cover
The program lists eligible hardware and software such as modern point-of-sale systems, inventory management software and CRM tools for customer loyalty.
Modern POS Systems
Quetzal POS runs checkout on iPad, Android or a web browser, with Quetzal Pay card payments built in.
Inventory Management
Track variants and stock counts across every location, and create purchase orders when stock runs low.
Customer-Management Technology
Customer profiles, loyalty rewards, gift cards and store credit in the same system as your sales.
Who May Qualify
The program's published criteria include:
- An Ontario-based, for-profit business that is open to the public
- A physical commercial location (not home-based)
- Selling goods or services directly to consumers, such as a boutique, bookstore, café or salon
- In operation for at least 1 year
- At least $100,000 in annual revenue (before taxes)
- 1–50 full-time staff
